Aesthetic Brown Transferware Pitcher - Chelsea 1884
I collect this pattern in my own collection and have a complete set. I found this pitcher at a recent estate sale and am offering it to you.
I love the pattern of delicate flowers that are featured all over the pitcher, so pretty to use or display in a cabinet. This was made by Powell, Bishop & Stonier, a Staffordshire Pottery Company in England. It has the embossed mark and printed maker on the bottom., dating it to 1884. The pattern is called "Chelsea" and features delicate, brown scroll work with scattered flowers all over. So pretty!
CONDITION: It is remarkably good condition, considering its age with NO CRAZING OR REPAIRS. However It has a Tight Hairline by the handle that goes from out side to in, with a tiny ding chip on the rim by the handle. Not noticeable at first look, You don't feel it on the outside, and is light on the inside. It is Large and holds (144 oz of fluid or 18 cups)
This pattern is highly collectible and displays beautifully!!
