Offering a stunning large beautiful White Ironstone pitcher produced in England by J Wedgwood, in the mid 19th century.
Josiah Wedgwood and Sons, commonly known as Wedgwood, is a fine china, porcelain, and luxury accessories company founded on 1 May 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood. Towards the end of the 18th century other Staffordshire manufacturers introduced Bone China as an alternative to translucent and delicate Chinese porcelain. In 1812 Wedgwood produced their own Bone China, Ironstone and Earthenware, which eventually became an important part of an extremely profitable business. This is an excellent example of one of the works produced by Wedgwood.
It stands 12" tall to top of spout. From handle to spout, it is approx. 8" wide x approx. 10" deep
It is in Excellent Condition, NO CHIPS, CRACKS, CRAZING, REPAIRS OR DAMAGE.,
Clean inside, Has a minor, small discoloration mark under the spout, (seen in pic 4), could be cleaned and normal wear on the bottom from sitting.
