A beautiful example of all original Red and White Transferware Ironstone. Produced by E M & Co. (Edge Malkin), in Staffordshire, England, between 1871-1903 (years of actual pottery operation).
Very popular in the Aesthetic Movement of art in the late 19th century. This piece features a ribbed handle with splashes of tiny flowers down the center., The belly of the piece shows a moon and flowers cascading thru and around it, the other is is similar with an Asian flare of fans or triangles and the same floral arrangement scattered about.
MEASURES: 6 1/2" tall x almost 4" wide at the widest 5"
CONDITION: Excellent for a piece of this age, NO Chips, NO Cracks, NO Damage or Crazing, All clean inside except on spot down the inside wall that has a brown stain. A Wonderful piece of Early Ironstone. And RARE to come by from this maker.
