Simply stunning is this ironstone plate in the Brown Transferware pattern called "Phileau", manufactured in the 1880's by G. W. Turner & Sons, Tunstall, England.

Large Rim Soup Bowl, Featuring a figure fishing from a bridge. Along the rim are nautical scenes, birds and flowers

~ MEASURES: It measures 9 1/4" in diameter. -

~ CONDITION: NO Chips, Cracks, Crazing or Damage, MINT for a piece of this age, RARE.

Manufactured by the company GW & Sons in Tunstall, England in the 1870s era.
The crisp PHILEAU pattern features delightful Japanesque and geometric designs of the aesthetic movement., features a man fishing off the bridge, mountains, lake and trees with a full moon in the background. The pattern captures the Victorian eras love of nature.
