Bought at a recent estate sale in Upstate New York, a great piece of History from the Amsterdam, NY area!
Described on the back, it says:
"Occupied by Sir William Johnson 1743-1763
and by his son Sir John 1763-1774.
The scene of important Indian councils in Colonial Times., Montgomery County Historical Society,
This Plate would make a gorgeous Wall hanging, Shows the old fort, gentlemen on the front steps, surrounded by lush trees and leaves and flowers on the trim., a stunning and striking royal blue.
This has allot of charm, beautiful details of blue and white.
